Kee Safety intoduces self closing safety gates

Kee Safety introduces easy to install self closing safety gates designed to prevent a fall when not in use. Our safety gates are spring loaded so they can automatically close when not in use.

Self closing gates are now considered to be the preferred solution. Previously on many occasion chains, bars and sliding link tubes have been specified to allow safe access to a roof from ladders, roof hatches, walkways as well as for industrial machinery. While these do provide a form of safety, they also have their drawbacks and very much rely on correct usage. If, as is often the case, the user forgets to replace them, a gaping void is left, creating a significant fall hazard.

The benefit of our self closing gates is that they are spring loaded so automatically close behind the user. This overcomes the problem of user error and ensures that voids are not created when accessing a roof. Gates can also be easily retrofitted to existing systems. Most of our gates are supplied at a standard 1m width but can be easily cut to the correct width on site if required and installed to open in any direction.

Kee Safety’s self closing gates have been designed to work with our KeeGuard Roof Edge Protection System and other types of Safety Barriers.
