HSE Manager – MEIAC Division (Middle East, India, Asia & China)


Job Title: HSE Manager – MEIAC Division (Middle East, India, Asia & China)

Location: India (Resident Only)

Reporting To: Group HSE Director

Direct Reports: Location Safety Advisors

Indirect Reports: Location HSE Leads

Travel Requirement: Approximately 50% (within MEIAC region)

Key Responsibilities

  • ·       Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, systems, and standards across the MEIAC region.
  • ·       Provide expert HSE leadership and support to Business Unit management teams.
  • ·       Manage the divisional HSE assurance programme, including audits of Business Units, subcontractors, installation teams, and recertification technicians.
  • ·       Conduct PPE inspections, work-at-height assessments, and compliance audits to verify safe working practices.
  • ·       Deliver HSE, work-at-height, and fall protection training programmes.
  • ·       Monitor HSE performance, investigate significant incidents, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • ·       Review risk assessments, safe systems of work, and operational controls to ensure compliance with legal and Group requirements.
  • ·       Support Business Units in developing a positive safety culture and strengthening HSE management systems.
  • ·       Prepare HSE reports and liaise with regulators, certification bodies, customers, and other stakeholders as required.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • ·       Minimum 5 years' HSE management experience within a multi-site or international organisation.
  • ·       Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • ·       NEBOSH Diploma, Chartered IOSH, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • ·       Qualified ISO 45001 Lead Auditor preferred, with experience of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
  • ·       Experience conducting management system, operational, and compliance audits.
  • ·       Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, risk management, and incident investigation.
  • ·       Advanced knowledge of work-at-height, fall protection, and safe access systems.
  • ·       IRATA qualification or rope access experience would be advantageous.
  • ·       Experience delivering HSE and technical safety training programmes.
  • ·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI, with the ability to travel extensively throughout the region.

  • ·       Confident engaging with senior leaders, regulators, customers, and certification bodies.
  • ·       Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing priorities across a multi-country region.
